This tractor was built for Bill Schulte by me "Dave Wickman" from Eastern Iowa and is a twin to my sons tractor (other than hood / paint finish) which was built at the same time. This tractor was sold and went to the Waco Texas area and I would just like to know who owns it and how it is doing and compares to other tractors in its class. Any information on it would be appreciated. Thank You, Dave W.

This is the twin to the "Johnny "B" Good" tractor. This picture was taken in June of 2000 at the second pull it attended after I built it. Both tractors are the same mechanically and have the same size engine. The owner of Johnny "B" Good chose to paint his the way he wanted it and we did the same with Double Trouble.

Hasn't Double Trouble been to Laotto In, last fall, and Sigourney Iowa this spring? I seem to remember it, as we parked 2 or 3 spots down from it. Best running B I have ever seen.

Yes, It was at both those pulls along with my tractor. We live about 85-90 miles Northeast of Sigourney Iowa. We have been regular attendees of the Sigourney event for many years. My tractor the "Yellow Jacket" has pulled there many years before the boy's tractor and we still bring the "Yellow Jacket" along for pass or two. Here is a picture of both our tractors and my truck that I haul them on. DW

OK, I remember you guys. I talked to you for a little while while we all froze our butts off in Iowa. Are you coming back to Laotto this fall? I'll definately do Sigourney again...I had no Idea I was talking to you, because you helped me soo many times a few years ago on the JD board. I'd have shaken your hand if I had known...Andy

Pretty small world sometimes isn't it! Laotto last Fall was a first for us, good power track. We sure could of done better. I would come back again if I had the chance. No definite plans yet? I know we could of showed better than we did and one way to prove it is come back and do it. They had some pretty good iron there! Nice folks to pull with. Have Truck Will Travel!! That is if I have enough money to buy the diesel fuel for it. Look me up if you come back to Sigourney and we will get that hand shake out of the way and get down to some serious BS!! DW

I give up! The picture is in "Tractor Photos" under 1938 John Deere Puller. If someone can tell me how to post it here I would appreciate your kindness and help. I pasted the same photo link that I used in the "Tractor Photos" in "Optional Image URL" below the first time and in "Optional Link URL" the second time and as you can see neither one of them seem to work for me. I guess I am better at tractors than computers!! Thank You, DW

It looks like the same tires it left Iowa with and they were 13.9 X 36". Not near enough tire for its capability. Original owner wanted to keep it light for pulling in the 3250# class and these tires would let him do that. Tractor will easily handle a 15.5 X 38" tire as we have run its twin with that size of tire from day one and it handles them well in second gear 90% of the time. DW
