never knew iwas such a celebrity! to clear things up i was running power mist racing fuel to-137 which has a specific gravity of 0.745,5.0%o2,7.5rvp,120+octane. if natpa is going to test fuel they should have someone certified to do so, and use equipment that doesnt vary 8% to 15% + or - like the mickey mouse one they use now. thats not even of importance, but the way it was handled is. when the tech. guys checked the fuel they said it was their first time and really didnt know how aqurate it would be. therefore noone would be dq. so after my fullpull and ckecking of fuel the tech. crew informed me that my fuel was 0.755 and that i wasnt dq, to go ahead and pulloff. as a result of the pulloff i was told i won the class. until 45 minutes later the chairman of board informed me different. to make matters worse a tech. informed me another tractor was questionable and the tester read him 0.1 over depending on how you held the becker. so you tell me how being over 0.1 is ok and being over 0.5 isnt. by the way i had my fuel tested today at 0.744. the guy asked how napta did the test, when i told him he could only laugh!

Everyone that knows you know that you are nothing but a blow fart and the only way you ever win is by cheating. Plus it is obvious that you are playing in a game that you really cannot afford!

This is for puller # 2, if you have such a big pocketbook, why don't you come and play? Under pressure runs so well due to the research and the discovery of new technology. You're not smart enough to find and neither is anyone else. His fuel is legal. NATPA needs to wake up because they do not have the means to check it. His fuel is just like everybody elses.

This is what happens when competition comes to town. Under pressure brought some competition for Brooks. Of course, they won't look as good.

What were they testing for? Specific gravity, ph, colour, odor or the likelyhood the 88 could beat the local favorite?

ya and a friend of mine barely passed with pump gas and 104 octane boost if I would have drove from NC just to get dq,ed on fuel by somebody that probably didn't know how to do the test anyway I think I'd be pissed.

It was for specific gravity! Heard about the pump gas/octane booster. If that is really true, then the testing wasn't very accurate! What makes it go past the specific gravity anyways--nitrous?

Toluene with an octane of 114 or xylene with a 117 octane rating are just different molecular chains of what is generaly know and blended together as gasoline. Various blends of also octane, heptane etc are used depending on crude base stock, refinery equipment types & cost. High octane fuel and most octane boosters jast have a high concentration of xylene or toluene which should pass the SG test. Alcohol is lighter and maybe caused a low SG reading. I hope he wasn't adding hydrazine which is very toxic.

There are lots of fuels from VP and Torco that do not meet the specific gravity requirements. You don't even need to screw around mixing up your own.
