I'm installing .125 M.W. Aluminum Pistons in a G with the short block(11 1/2") and flat head. What is the correct clearance should be? One suggest to mill the top off of the pistons, down to the dimple on top of pistons, to achieve the correct compression ratio. Any help on this modifiction would help! Thanks Bryan

bryan..a simple test is to take a .012 in feeler gauge and put it at right angle to the wrist pin on the rear of the piston and slide it through the bore..this is the least amount of clearance of i use on .125 g pistons..as far as your compression figure out how much you want put in your piston and measure compute how much to cut off..lynn
