I hope this doesn't open a can of worms. Because, I live in the Eastern part of the nation, I haven't seen a lot of these big tractors that get mentioned (Hutson, Weins, Murphy). I am sure that these guys are friends to many of you.

My question is who is some of the top dog pullers and what do they pull? Brand? Weight class? Divison?

I really do hope this doesn't lead into brand bashing!! I'll even try to be civilized

I see Hutson's tractor on a pretty regular basis. He has a W-40 McCormic Deering. Another tractor to look for is Robert Tickler. He has a 1020 that is going to be real tough also. Both tractors are good and strong. Look out for both, again, next season. Hutson runs division 4,5500 and 6000 pound class. Tickler runs div. 4 also, but, not in any one class. Sometimes they get into division 5. Two tractors that are an enjoyment to watch, inless you're pulling against them. -Peace

The only ones I've seen pull of those you mentioned is Weins. They run John Deere and are real competitive. Haven't seen them for a couple years, but they were running an A, and a 70. They been known to shoot down some good competion. From what I've read here, the others are real good too. I'm in the same region of the country as Weins is why I've seen them.

The above mentioned tractors are very tough, there is an 88 from texas that is tough, and there is a 600 case from PA that will beat most anything with no turbo.
