TA is slipping in low range but it has not done it in high range would it be all right just to pull with it in high range and not shift it
can a person put a solid shaft in it and get rid of the TA

with the TA in high it is in direct mode so it wont hurt it, but it is worth fixing, i wouldn't think of a solid shaft because you will love one that works properly.

once a TA starts to slip the clutch packs are done...it dont cost that much to rebuild them ..a TA is a valueble tool to have on you tractor im sure you would miss it once its gone.....my to cents

The later 60 series tractors were available without TA's and had solid shafts in place instead. Check your parts book.
