I run Traction Torques on my UB and have had mixed results. They are 15.5x38 and road wore. On the heavy damp clay, I do not do well. On a loose, dry, or lumpy track, I can really smoke some folks. It seems like the worse the track, the better I can do. How does everyone else do with these buggers? I like them, but maybe not the best on the power tracks unless cut well. Fill me in fellas. I will be switching to cut Firestone Deep treads next year.

Our SM like em,, got 14.9's,, on a 12 inch rim, if your looking for the perfect set of 15.5's in a firestone, 151, I got a few sets to look at if you want. I think the deep treads are a myth,,, yes, as ledgend has it, they say they make the perfect tire,, but Ive yet to see a set that pulled any better than the 151 stones,, They made 3 types of the firestone tire,, usually you can tell by the letters on the casing, the old ones were obvios,, the second version was almost identical to the 3rd version, but did not have the tire trad pattern molded into the sides, and I think the 3rd series were a bit softer than the 2nd series,, i have all 3 series tires,, and I love the 3rd series set. It is no myth about the Deep Tread tires. Size for size, they will always be larger accordingly than most any other tire. They have a flatter profile to start with, more bars and wider bars. The only drawback to them is that they are heavy- a 6-ply DT will weigh more than most other 8-ply tires. But when properly cut they are a very hard tire to beat. The Goodyear tires niche is very small (you mentioned some loose tracks) but their main point is that they are one of the lightest (and also SMALLEST) tires, size for size. If you put the same marked size Traction Torque tire next to a Deep Tread you will not believe they are even the same size. And a Deep Tread DOES NOT wear faster than an ATFR 151 due to the harder rubber in them to start with. Mike

Ive seen deep treads back cut so badly on the angle, they make chisles out of em, and just rip the track to shreds, Yeah, they are a hard tire, hardly any give to them at all. The way ive seen em cut, just never impressed me, but that was amature cutting,,, Now I have a tire I like even more than the firestone,, and thats an Armstrong, Power Lug all traction field and road. Long bar short bar. man, those are like a slick! Not radials,, I have a set on my Super H 15.5's,, and they are one biting tire!! I run bout 13 psi in em at 4000lbs, the tractor loves em. I can usually drive right up to where the heaviest tractor inthe class stopped, and be 450#s lighter, They just make the ol Super H go and go! Ive even ran em on my mods,, uncut,, and it even helped them out too! Ever see those tires? Ive got some photos if not,, But I bet ya have,, Chad

If you're in a tractor pull where you are classified by weight, why are you 450 lbs. lighter? Run out of weights for the upper end classes for the H I suppose.

Precentage pulling. Where the weight classes are 0-4500 lbs, 4501-5500 5501-6000, well you get the point, you can weigh anywhere in those weight borders in percentage pulling. Usually a liteweight tractor, that can make a good pull distancewise, lets say at 3700lbs, If that 3700lbs tractor pulls it just as far, or lets say with in 5 feet of the 4500 lb tractor, the liter tractors percentage will be higher than the heavy one. Not all pulling is based off a certain weight class, we do it differently here, thats why there is a weight difference. Chad
