What head are you going to use on your A? I have a head off a 140 on my B and that really jacked up the compression but from what I have read it might not be legal with some pulling groups. But a good Super Head with a little work done to it should help.

Id look into a C-153 and parts from the 140. There is a fellow by the handle of "Shaggy" He has a few of the little farmalls that he has built over the years, and his pullers are stout, but has no place to pull them! Id like to add, that not many clubs are equipped to run the under 3000lbs classes, and we salute everyone that supports the little guys too! If Shaggy dont respond, Ill email him and wake him up,, where ever he is these days,,, LOL! He knows these litte tractors very very well. As for me,, and what I can offer you, is rebuild and tweek everything you can think of, from distributors carbs, and governors, But I think Shag can help you the most in this case. ChadS

IH pulr I pulled a Farmall B for about 10 yrs and did quite well with it, but it is like ChadS said a lot of places don't pull the small tractors. That's why I have started pulling my M. Alot of the clubs are now starting at 3500lbs and that is out of my B's league but I have done well at 3250, you would be surprised how much another 250lbs will pull you down. E-mail me and we will talk small tractors. Tom. hale904@hotmail.com
