Engine Build-Off:...Good Idea

Now I"m not one to bash anyone here...but I think that anytime two competitors build a pulling tractor of the same make and model, it"s already a build-off. BUT...

With all the bashing that starts anytime someone mentions a certain party"s name on the board, I think eventually it"s gonna be time to put up or shut up. So here"s what I propose:

Let"s just get some of these bashers to put their torque wrench where their mouth is...let"s get ChadS and some of these fellows building the same model of tractor, using whatever parts they agree to, that will still fit the rules for a specific class. Maybe somebody who"s all gung-ho on Denny"s parts can get them to sponsor their build-up, for example; but when the buildin" is done, make it a two-part competition. First, see who built the most HP on the dyno...and THEN see who built the best puller.

Then, if ChadS builds the winner, all these folks bad-mouthing his parts and such will have to shut up for a couple of months; but if the Denny"s tractor wins, nobody can say anything bad about Denny"s parts for a like period of time. And if some independent builds one that puts "em BOTH to shame, BOTH of "em will have to eat crow for the same specified period of time....y"know, kinda like a "loser-leave-town" rasslin" match.

Whaddya say? Like everything else in building a puller, all it takes is money! I"d like to see somebody take up this kinda challenge seriously. While I don"t personally know ChadS, I know there are some who come on here and badmouth him on a regular basis. Since we all know that "money talks and bull$h1t walks," let"s see some of those bashers put their money where thir mouth is and build a better puller...rather than just TALKIN" a better puller.

Or...to twist Lee Iacocca"s line around: "If you can build a better puller...do it!"

I know Chads personaly and although I do not agree with what he says sometimes I do not think that he is the one on this other site. Chad is not the type of person to say "dumb antique pullers". It is just not his style.

I hope that wasn't the real ChadS that posted that stuff over there. Maybe it was someone using his handle to mess with him by posting a bunch of nasty things and have people get on his case big time.

The word he used was stupid pullers. With that little rant, he sure overloaded his a$$ this time. Knows more than anybody and has forgot more than most will ever know!!! It's in a string about Pro Stocks, about 3/4 of the way down the page, now. On Pulloff.com discussion board.

Oh, you mean the post where he claims that if it weren't for him, that pulling would be 10 years behind where it is today, and where he says he knows more about tractor pulling than anyone else. And before that the one that he says he can beat any tractor of anyone on the pulloff.com board, as long as it is PERCENTAGE. I have seen Jordan Lustik post on that board before, so I would take that to mean that he thinks his H Farmall is going to outpull the Silver Bullet. I dont care how you measure/score the pull, it ain't gonna happen.

No one is just picking on Chad, he is bringing it on himself, just read these:

I think we are going to have to agree that we disagree. I know I didnt impersonate you, and you know deep down if you did or did not make the said remarks. I doubt either of us is going to believe the other. If it was honestly not you that said it, then I apologize for all of this. BUT IF YOU DID, then I dont feel sorry for you whatsoever. You can call me anything you want to, but I will sleep well tonight knowing that I didnt do what you accuse me of.

I am done with this subject. Have a nice night and a better tomorrow.

Drew, Ill take your word on it then. No, I did no such thing, Ive seen this kindygarten BS before from others in the past. I guess the future yeilds the same results. If people dislike what I do so much, they can spend it on Denny. Im sorry that this all happened, Im sorry that lowlife idiots have to stoop so low, Im sorry that they get beat by real pulling machines, and Im sorry for calling you names. Enough said. Keep those deeres alive, soon, hunting season will be upon us all. The guilty party knows who wrote that garbage,, Ive got it narrowed down, and I contacted Pulloff. com to see if they have the IP address for that post. Just a matter of time till I find out. Good day. Chad

OK guys, lets make it real easy, lets make it so all you can do is swap factory parts( that is any part that will bolt on or in without any machine work)OEM parts only...thats so it can be made as cheap as possible so everyone could afford to do it.. Things could get BIG pretty fast ...

Buzzman, this would be highly entertaining for every brand! Too bad my pocket book is so shallow. Sounds like fun. There are some great independants out there!
