Hi there,

I have a stock 1066 with stock airreseach turbo with the coldstart locked.
On the dyno it gives 210hp on the PTO.
on this forum I've read that most "stock" 1066 pull in 2nd high and that's what I see here in holland to. But on the same track I can only pull in 3rd low. In 4th low it goes out on most tracks.
Now I have some questions:

Is it possible to get more fuel out the stock pump?

Gives a pump from a 1466 more fuel than the 1066?

Does it help when I change the timing(set it a couple degrees earlier)?

Tanks for your help.

Maurice

I don't know because I can't measure it yet.
Probably not that high cause the tractor is stock at this moment(exept the coldstart is locked)

325 hp is that witch the stock injectorpump?
Is the preformance of a 3lm (schwitzer?) better than a airresearch turbo?

Tanks

You can do alot with a stock pump. Not just turning the screw either. Yes a 3lm is a good jump from a stocker

Can you tell me what more to do with a stock pump? The 3lm is this the also factroy mount schwitzer turbo(as the Airresearch witch i have know)

Within a few weeks, after the last pulls this year, we are going to check the injectors and measure the compression. We can put it on a dyno then and I was wondering what kind of improvement can be made by setting the timing of the pump a couple degrees earlier..

tnx,

Maurice

advancing the pump is only good if your going to be cranking it up around 3000 or better. you are better off staying around 18 or 17 will let it lug a little longer. Hows the blowby does it start good?? Does it sit and miss till it gets warmed up?? The 3lm will bolt right on. Just make sure you get one for a IH. They are a factory replacement. Anyways that tractor should be able to run in 2nd high right along with everyone else. Give me a call 715-665-2456 I will help ya out.

You mean 3000 rpm for advancing the pump?
The engine starts very good and when the engine is cold it takes e few seconds before its running smooth, but only when it didn't run for a couple of days. Otherwise it is half a second on the starter button and it runs). It sounds pretty healty. max rpm is at this moment 2650 rpm.

I'm from holland(Europe) so there is some time difference, Whats the best time I can call you? in Holland its 6 hours later than in central us

tnx
Maurice
