Your bore number doesn"t add up?If you got kit frome Denny"s you won"t get hp he claims.

yes,
Thats where they came from. Cubic inch is 306. I have a strong engine (for Div II) but not close to the hp he is claming they should give. Also have a lp manifold on it. How can someone sell something so misleading?

You have a 4.310 bore stock stroke 306 cu, Denny has been ripping people off for years with hp. claims, give Lemmons or Marlatt a call in Rushville In. they are in the hook magazine you'll have to stroke the motor 1 in to get the power you are after.

You are correct on that bore I was typing and not thinking. The kit allows for using stalk rods and crank which would be what 5.25" stroke I'm thinking it is. If I could do the engine build over again I would have stroked probably an 1" like you said. I know I would have gotten more power and probably would have been cheaper or about the same money.
Has anyone ever had an LP head on the 4.310" piston kit? How much power would I gain over the stock head? Currently I'm using LP manifolds with the setup and mayby gained a couple horse on the dyno. With those pistons the tractor has fairly high compression now and adding an LP head would up the compression enough more I'm wondering if the tractor would mayby gain a little horse but loose a lot of bottom-end torque? Again if anyone can help me thanks!
