Just wanted to let you all know that Burney Vol Fire Dept is putting on a distance antique pull on Labor Day. They are having Tugger classes and stock classes. Weigh-in starts at 9am and the pull starts at 11am. They are also having a hog roast at 11am. Burney is approx. 10 miles west of Greensburg, IN and 15 miles east of Columbus, IN just off St. Rd. 46. The stock rules are posted below. Any question, feel free to email, but put something about the pull in the subject line so the spam blocker doesn't delete it.

1. Must have stock blocks, manifolds, carburetors, and fuel injection pumps. Tractors are to have original frame, drive train, and original size front wheels and tires. 2. Seats must be stock or a manufactured seat in place with original mounts.
3. Tractors must have stock wheels and hubs or pressed steel not to exceed manufacturers recommended rim width for the tire (approximately 2” narrower than the tire size). 4. Weights – Wheel weights, suitcase weights, and custom made weight brackets are permitted. Front weight bracket and weights to extend no farther than 11 feet from center of rear axle. Weights may not extend behind rear tires.
5. No radial tires, cut tires, or tires that have had the lugs sharpened by spinning on concrete or grinding. No 15.5 tires in 4500 class and below.
6. Classes – 3600, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7000, 7500, 8000, 8500, 9000
7. Tractors to pull at factory high idle RPM. No governor surge after 50 feet, but throttle can be moved. Overriding of governors will result in disqualification. RPMs must not exceed 10% over stock according to NAPTA standards.
Speed limit: 3 mph.
8. Pull to be from twisted clevis or drawbar with a 3” hole and not more than 1” of iron at the pull point. Drawbar must be rigid, at least 18” to rear of axle center and not over 20” high. Drawbar and support to be fastened at original locations and pull from original pull points. Unsafe drawbars cannot be used.
9. Contestant must be 16 years or older with drivers license. Drivers under 16 years need to have parental consent. Driver under 13 years are not eligible to pull.
10. Driver must stay seated, drive in a safe manner, and be able to reach throttle or clutch at all times. Pull will not be measured if anything breaks or falls off during pull.
11. One restart is given if tractor stops within 1st 50 feet. In case of mechanical failure, tractor may pull at end of the class. Tractor to pull only once per class unless committee chooses differently. 12. If the tractor or the sled goes out of bounds, you will be flagged and measured at this point. Tractors with torque cannot shift during pull.
13. Protests can only be made while class is pulling by someone in that class to an official. Protester’s tractor will also be check along with tractor being protested. 14. No alcoholic beverages or disorderly conduct will be tolerated.
15. Judges’ decision final. Rules will be enforced.
