I know Welter's keeps the pistons for a 6.5" crank, but does anyone know if they keep the cranks or not? If not, where should I check on getting a 6" crank stroked to 6.5"? About how much should I expect to pay for .5" of stroke? How much clearancing is involved to fit the 6.5" in the crankcase? I wouldn't think it would take much if any! Thanks in advance! Scott Hancock

Just a thought,Why don't you take the engine out of tradition 2 and put it in 1 while your dads at work? Give me a call I've got the jugs and pistons that you need. We'll worry about the money later. By the way tell your daddy and Neal that they only have a few more weeks before total Hell breaks loose.

The pistons that Welter's have are old aircraft pistons and you will need to machine off the top and bottom of the blocks and top of crankcase to get them high enough in the bore of the block, not really the best answer to save a dollar. That is if you use hd800 blocks. Just as LW what he thinks about old aircraft pistons

So where is the best place to buy pistons from. And what piston can you buy for this set up. What does the price of these pistons usually run.

CALL HAPCO MACHINE
TERRE HAUTE, INDIANA

PRICING ALOT MORE COMPETITIVE THAN THE MACHINE SHOP I USED LAST TIME ON A (M) CRANK.

There cheaper until you spend 5 to 6 hrs finishing it for installation and getting the weld out of the oil holes!
