The 300-350 blocks are the same casting, difference was the sleeve thickness, 300 stock was a 3-9/16 bore sleeve, the 350 was a 3-5/8 bore, same OD barrel specs for both, just one was a thick wall sleeve, and the other was a thin wall sleeve. Just like taking a M from 3-7/8 to 4 inch bore,, just change the sleeve. The heads were identical castings, just updated part numbers for the newer 350. No, not the same as the 8043D, but the same as the 8043DD, which was found mostly on late Super H's stock. The 8043DD casting, was the same casting as the new style heads, just still used the old 4 digit casting codes used in the H-SH. The 169-175 block can be bored the same specs as far as bigger bores, but if you keep it in the block,, and not use a aftermarket sleeve, keep it to no bigger than 3-13/16, yes, there will be a slight flange ring left over at the top of the block,,, but a 175 head gasket will seal it, or have the rings made to fill in the casting. H blocks,,,,, 3-13/16 bore will not have a flange left over,,, but you better have it checked before going out that far,, they rust from the water jacket in,, and will find pits that have soaked through. Takes a good H block to go that big,, best to use the later block, and have a little more metal left to hold it better. Hope this helps,,, Just glad its not orange!!! LOL! Chad
