Why don't you see 300s or 350s pulling very often? Is there a disadvantage to keeping this block in the original chassi verses putting a 300 block in an H? What can you get a 300 down to in weight with stock wheels?

I have both 300 and H stock pullers. Both tractors run about 40 hp. I pulled the H in 4500 class, the 300 in 5500 and 6500 lb. class. The low speed of the t.a. makes all the diff. in the world. I pull aginst IH M, John Deer A, Oliver 88 WC45 with a six cylinder engin, Am in the top 2 most of the time. With the 300 you will have lots of fun.

My son has a 300 that he pulls in the 4500 stock and open classes. It would have to be an extremely hot H that would have a chance to run with him or the 88 olies, or the 101/44 masseys. The TA in the 300 is a huge advantage. By the way, I have a stock Super H that I pull in the farm stock classes. It would be embarrassing to pull that tractor in the stock/open classes. I suppose that anything can be made competative with enough money spent on it.

What piston set up are you using? What bore/stroke. How difficult is it to put on the turbo?
