I have a 1946 John Deere GM that someone else began building as a puller. It was bored .125 with aluminum pistons and thats about it, then the individual froze it so I have to start over with new block and head, but it was cheap. I know everyone has their secrets to building pullers, but if anyone is willing to share theirs, I am open to any advice and would appreciate it. I am a John Deere mechanic and would obviously do all my own work, I've just never been real big on knowing all the tricks that work. Thanks, Neil.

Yes, the .125 pistons should be fine yet. This tractor probably has less than 5 hours on it since it was overhauled. The kid who had it just forgot to drain the water(or put coolant in) and froze it bad. It will still run, I just don't run it for more than a few minutes. If you are getting at me selling them, I'm not sure what I am doing yet, it isn't tore apart and won't be for a little while, I'm just looking at the options I have. Thanks for the reply. Neil G

i would definetaly stroke it at least 2 inches, bore it .250 over and do something with the cam.As far as the head;you can stick a ton in that category, but this is a start.
