WE HAVE PULLED 16.9X38 ON A M UP TO 10200 IN 2ND GEAR STOCK TIRES.
WE ALSO RUN 18.4X34 UP TO 97OO IN 2ND GEAR CUT TIRES.
SPIN OUT WITH BOTH.

This is a hard question to answer. It depends on several factors: track conditions, tread depth and design, air pressure, front to rear weight distribution. I've seen cut 16.9's choke M's of this hp, and have seen M's with less hp spin out 18.4's. As for rims, you might try anything between 16-18", depends on how flat you want the tread. The flatter it is, the better the bit. Are 18.4's legal for 3.5 mph at your club? 18.4's are plentiful, you may be able to borrow a set of duals from a neighbor to try. I know of a decent looking set of Goodyears that can be had for $75 a pair. If your interested, please post a phone number.
