I guess I don't understand the question.. The 70LP head will not bolt on to a G.. a flathead G will not fit a 70 gas or a 70 LP block.. A 70 all fuel head will fit on a G, and the unstyle G head would fit on the 70 all fuel block.. (why you would what to do that??) you would gain compression, but lose the 2barrel carb... Not 100% sure what U are asking...

Sorry I didnt realize what I was asking either, but someone said you could bolt an lp head on a G for greater compression and I figured a 70lp would fitbecause the G is the forerunner of the 70. Then someone said that a flathead off of an unstyled G would work to. I just wanted to compare the two heads, but the 70lp head wont fit and an all fuel head will. So when I said 70lp I should have said a all fuel head, right?? How would I lose the two barrel carb? is that the same thing as the DLTX51?? I also wanted to get a piston question out to, I've heard that cat D7,8,9 pistons would fit a G bored .125 and that they use thinner rings to cause less friction, is that true?
Thanks Blackdog

I think what they ment was using a flathead for your styled G. Many times these heads were installed on the styled G's to increase the compression to run LP. The flathead is the stock head for an unstyled G. The 70 Allfuel engine is a combination of parts.. the block has a bigger bore than the 70gas and LP.. the block is basically the same as a G, 6.125 bore. The 70 Allfuel head will only fit a G or a 70 Allfuel block. The advantage of the 70 Allfuel head would be that the 70's used a 2 barrel carb, and the G's used a 1 barrel (DLTX51 carb) (you would have to check your rules if you changed to the 70 head.) I do know what it would do to your compression by installing the 70 Allfuel head.. just guessing I would have to say that your compression would stay close to the same as with the stock head of the G.. (it might increase just a little.) but nothing close to the compression increase you will see with the flathead.
