Hey guys, what are the deisel prices in your neck of the woods? Northwestern wisconsin we are paying $3.15 at the pump. Anyone going to curtail their winter pulling any because of the fuel prices? Just wondering.

Diesel has been $3.399 and up for 2 weeks now. We slowed back on pulling at$2.50 and stopped at $3.00. Pulls are winding down and there are several this weekend, but at near $3.50 per gal., just can't do it, as much as I love to pull and see our friends.

Not much cheaper round East central Mo. It's 2.99 right now for both gas & Diesel. Got $50 saved up for when I got to harvest my 6-arces of ear corn. Hope it's going to be enough, otherwise I'll just have to dig up another jar. At the moment I wonder where I buryed the last one?

It's not like you're pulling to make money, is it? I doubt anyone willing and able to travel 300+ miles for a pull is on the edge financially enough to give up play-time.

Paying out fuel prices for fuel that you can do without such as in our sport or any unneccessary traveling is just like dealing with a drug dealer, the only difference is this is a leagal way to steal!!! Instead of pulling this year I think I will try to give some old folks a hand that can not afford heat, medicine or food in these times of out landish prices.

I agree. I'm not going to lose any sleep thinking about how some puller may not be able to go to such and such pull because of the high fuel prices, when there are people worried about getting gas in their car to get to work, or keeping the propane tank full for the winter.

$3.18 to 3.49 and were 5 miles from the refinery hurts when you use a diesel 1 ton to move cattle every day

Shell station hit 3.47 today. Even off road is over 3.00 now. The combine man is going to raise his rates to cover himself. But I have to suffer with corn below 2.00 and bean below 5.00. The man at the end of the pole has nobody to pass it on to

I had planned on hitting as many of the winter pulls as possible, but now, it doesn't look possible. Most of the pulls for me are at least 550 miles ONE WAY, at 10mpg....OUCH!!!!! !! 350-400.00 in fuel alone, not counting food, motel, pulling. I don't know, changes the fun part of it. Probably will still go to some, but may have to be more selective. Anyone else feel this way?

"Big Jugs" - not sure if you are a female puller with a nice rack or a Deere or Moline Puller -

Well, if you WERE going to hit 10 pulls, and DON'T, you have $4000 to spend on your motor this winter. I wouldn't want to run into you next year. Lookout!
