I'd like to throw my two cents in here if I could. One thing I would strongly recommend is that you take a tractor safety course - especially if you don't have an ag background and have never been around tractors before. Even the smallest of these old tractors is still a tremendously powerful machine that can be difficult to control safely - especially for a younger person. I grew up on tractors and still had to take the course to get a job working for a rancher - I thought I knew it all before, I didn't know half of what was required to safely operate a tractor. This is coming from someone who nearly lost his best friend in a tractor rollover - and he was a lifelong farm boy also. The tradegy is that he WAS killed a few years ago in another farm accident. A bin split open and buried him in corn. I know these old tractors look like the simplest things in the world to operate, but trust me, they still demand respect. Good luck in your pulling endeavors.

Welcome to the club Jerod. Glad to see young guys in the sport. I assume your wanting to pull. You didn't say what brand name you lean toward. My advise is to look at the big picture of antique pulling. Start in a stock class and work your way up. Think about questions such as: what weight classes to pull, what tractor brand and model, where are the pulls within 100 miles of home, what will we use for a tow vehicle and trailer (I say WE because of your age), what is my budget, where can I find floor space to work on the tractor, do I have enough tools and knowledge. You might concider helping someone you know at the pulls for a year or two. Ask questions and pay attention, you'll learn alot. Good Luck and keep us posted. Most everyone on the board will help you in anyway they can.

If you live in Princeton, your in a great area for antique pulling. I plan to make a Princeton pull sometime this year. If you'll give me your phone number, I'll give you a call before the pull. I don't know much, but I'll be glad to have you tag along and I'll try to help you in any way I can. Good Luck.
