The high horsepower gas engines will out pull the diesels without a turbo. The diesels need alot of air to make power and I have seen them get beat with a small turbo and added fuel. There is one in our area that is a nice tractor and runs good with a small turbo and pump enhanced, good tires, weight balanced etc. that just can't beat the gas engines that have been bored and stroked, high compression etc.
