I've been pulling a 44 for about a year and want to stroke it.I bought a block from a guy that has been bored and dry sleeved to 4-3/8.My question is what rod to use if I offset grind the crank and stroke it a 1/2 inch? What piston would you recommend.I've looked at some automotive stuff but haven't found anything 4-3/8.Any ideas are appreciated.Eric

Use the stock rod with a 6" stroke. Either machine 0.25" off of the piston or have the cylinder head counterbored 0.25" to accept the protrusion of the piston.

Counterboring the head is the method that I have used in the past and has the added benefit of reducing the "static" chamber size (further increase in compression ratio)...
