I have not dealt with Denny, but from what I'm reading on here, I will not take the chance. I talked to Bob at Robert's Carburetor the other day about modifying the DLTX72 that was on my G when I bought it. I can say that I was nothing less than totally impressed by his attitude and knowledge. He made it very clear that he wanted my business and would do his best to satisfy my needs. I've decided to send the carb to him and also have him regrind my cam. Like I said, I was very impressed with him on the phone, and I have little doubt that I will be happy with the finished product.

i feel that this is a forum to talk about pulliing, to share info and advice. i have pulled for the last 20 years, and i can tell you people will cheat if they can! i have come to the conclusion that you need to weigh 'em and pull 'em! color don't matter.if you have the money you can win. i have pulled antique, stock, pro stock, and super stock in the last 20 years.i think loading up this forum with silly "color wars " is a waste. put 'em on the track! i am also showing my e-mail address thetractorguy36@hotmail.com thanks

If all the tractors are pulling stock than I imagine your farmalls do infact pull quite well. However if it's the hopped up classes, and the sled is adjusted properly, I doubt you ever break 200 feet with your stock farmalls. The reason people want to increase power in their Deeres, is because they want a light tractor, that they will be able to pull heavier than normal classes, without spending a great deal of money, on something larger than a G. It's the same thing with the Sooped up Oliver 88's and the Farmall M's. Thank your lucky stars you have stock classes where you pull, because if you were pulling in my area, with a stock tractor of anykind, you might as well plan on finishing last. Get a life and quit aggitating people.

Nothing but the best...Guaranteed

ROFL

By the way, I'll never part with my G but I like having that TA on our 400 that we pull. Wait a minute, could it be that there isn't enough power in a Farmall so you need a little help from the TA.

For some reason I don't think this fella has read some of these posts through. I have stock tractors as well as we show alot more than we pull. I have Farmall, JD, M-M, Olivers, bout anything really. I have outpulled stock Farmalls with my stock Oliver and been outpulled by same. heck I have actually gotten farther down the track than some slightly modified ( still farm stock) brands and have been beat by same too. What you seem to fail to read is that these guys that are putting more and more into JD's ( Farmall's Olivers M-M's as well)are NOT pulling in your class. They pull in open and modified where to be honest I have no business at all and don't venture there. True stock tractors a JD has as good a chance and any other brand does. ( And I say this being and Oliver guy!!) Ooops sorry forgot to mention A-C's up there, their tough too.

I agree totally with ff316. How long is it going to take idiots like you to realize that the tractor somebody pulls is their business and not yours. Furthermore, they probably do not even care what you think, just like I don't. And aren't there 500 cubic inch stroker parts available for Farmalls? I thought there were. It would be interesting if everybody pulled Farmalls, then we could see just how fast various modifications would come forth to give someone an edge. It's the nature of the sport to try and gain an edge, that's why they call it COMPETITION. You should also notice that I got my point across here without deriding any brand of tractor. By the way, deriding means making fun of - thought you might not understand.

That's funny, I have read lots of posts about taking an M, adding a such and such block, a this or that head, some such pistons and a super special cam and goin' pullin'. Don't get me wrong, I have an H and like all old tractors, I'm just sick of people with too much time on their hands stirring crap like this up. I am sure there are more than a few JD's, A/C's, Ollies, and even other Farmalls around that could spank your junk any day.

JD IS MORE COSTLY,BUT THE FARMALL IS FOR BUDGET PULLERS. YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY.

Well I am presently incarcerated and we are planning to use a slightly modified farm stock tractor to break outta here. We need enough power to break through the chain link and barb wire fences but we also need enough road speed to out run the ford crown victoria police cruisers here in Alabama. Which brand would be better suited on a limited budget?
