Depends on how much you wanna spend I guess,,,, The 460 is nothing more than a 6 cyl 350,,,but the HP would be pretty good if you put in a 301,,, The M,, well,,, bore it, stroke it, and get light, But, they hold the M"s and 460"s above 4500lbs on national circuits in Div4, I dont know if that rule has changed,,, Id go with the M, but if it was a 560 instead of the 460,, then the 560...

a 560 is nothing more than a 6 cylinder 450 which is essentially an M according to your 460-300 comment. Why would you choose the 560 over the 460. If your going to put a 301 in both it would be better to be lighter.

True, very true. I think the 560 would be a litte better, heavier parts, but, they all can break. You could mix match,,,,, put the 301 in the M rearend,,,, kinda eliminates some of the TA breakage that they suffer,,, Parts are cheaper for the M rearend, thats a different story though,,, Chad

You can get a heavyer flywheel in a 560, more momentom and a better clutch. A 460 will take more than a 301, I ran a 350 cube,pulled agaist a 400 cube 460 running 6000 rpms. If your looking for a 460, I have one fore sale.Also have a 301.
