Wilson machine, Gary Baker, maybe, Paul Marlatt,,, The copper head gasket will work without the rings, or with them, as long as the block has been machined with the rings to make it flat for it to seal up. As long as you have the clearence on the pistons and the head, you can pick up 5hp from the compression increase. Stock is around .072 thick compressed,,, Probably around 10-15 psi more with a 30,, a 450 gasket will seal up a M block, without the rings, you can mill the head down a bit and pick up from where the groove leaves behind, but the rings would be helpful in keeping the compression pressure up. Gotta be milled flat to use copper,,,,, if not, it will leak water in the oil,, will seal the cyl,,, but not anywhere else. Chad

GARY BAKER'S PHONE # 734-678-9688
With a few measurements, he can make the rings for you !
If you have high compression pistons, why fool with a copper head gasket ! Head to piston tollerance gets real tricky at 30thds. Thats about a two head gasket process !
