MY 2 CENTS. I RUN 15.5'S ON 10 INCH RIMS. I'VE FOUND I CAN RUN MUCH LOWER AIR PRESSURE WITHOUT HAVING THE TREAD CAVEING IN. WITH THE SAME TIRE ON WIDER RIMS SUCH AS 12 INCH OR 14 INCH I HAVE TO RUN HIGHER AIR PRESSURE TO KEEP THIS FROM HAPPENING. I HIT ON THIS TWO YEARS AGO AND HAVE BEEN VERY SUCCESFUL WITH IT. JUST MY 2 CENTS.

I would wait for someone else to answer that one. It sounds good, but that close I have no idea.

The narrower the wheel is the more the tire will bow. When the tire bows it contacts the ground less. I would recommend no more than 2 inches less that the tire width.
