It is called an animated GIF. I took an old Ferguson picture that I had and a Santa pic from the web then modified them into what I wanted, eventually combining them into one animated GIF with a free compiler I found on the web... Search for animated GIF and you will find more than you want to read... a lot of free example ones too... but I wanted to make my own... third party image Jim

Sounds like you might know the difference between an MP3 and an MP2? If so, what's the diff?

Well not the technical details but MPEG 1 was developed as a digital music compression method for the broadcast industry.... I don't know if this was really much known as MP1 but later MPEG 1 layer 2 became known as MP2 and the accepted standard and is apparetnly still the standard today.... A better and different scheme was developed with an additional "layer" called MPEG 1 layer 3 (MP3) and is the standard for the internet and file sharing of music. MP3s are better quality than MP2s and not really compatable. MP3s can reduce the file size of a 16bit stereo recording by more than a factor of 12. Even though it loses quality, most ears can't hear it.... [And to make it more confusing there is MPEG 2 (not called MP2) which is for video, I believe...]

That's hilarious. The last line answered my question. MPEG2 is what I should have asked about because it was dealing with a camcorder. This is a case of when I didn't even know enough to ask a question. Thanks for your help.
