What is the biggest piston you can put in a 560. Can you go bigger by boring the block and putting in sleeves or by just boring block and concreteing block. Or is concreteing better either way. thanks for the advice.

Unless you use a deck plate you should stay around 4" bore with no sleeves The sleeves also take up space in the block which you don't have. 4.030 or 4.060 without sleeves may work, any bigger and you will need to sleeve it or go to church twice on Sundays. I tried 4.125 w/ sleeves and no deck plate. It ran great for a couple years then the core shifted and I lost the seal in the motor.

I've heard of 4.25" pistons put in 460-806 gas engines but I think the head would have to be "O-ringed" to seal. I went with 4.125" pistons in a 460 gasser, sleaved an "hard-blocked" the engine.
Pistons are off the shelf and inexpensive. Easy set up and loads of power with a little head and carb work.

First start with a 301 block, it"s stronger. Sleave it and hard block the whole block, just run water threw the head.I ran 4.03 and 4.06" pistons. Didn"t use the 301 or hard block and the block split. I have these pistons for sale, also other parts, big valve head, exhaust header, roller rockers and 2 different pulling cams if interested email me.
