You dont need custom rods at 5.25 stroke. You can use the stock rods. A little insight on pistons,,, the Stock H-350 compression height is 2.5inches. Stroke it an inch, and you will have to move the piston .500 more up, and down in the cyl. For a total of 1 inch more stroke. So look for a piston in your bore diameter you wish to use, that has a 2 inch or just a slight more, like 2.125 for an example,, Then, you can custom fit the compression height by removing some material off the top of the piston, or,, relocate the wrist pin location on the rod. At 5.25, you would have to do some block clearence work, inbetween the cam lobes and the center of the cam, and the rods. C rods are not gonna get you much,, you would have to stroke the crank and have it cut down to the journal sizes to match,, and that can get more expencive than what it would cost to use the stock rods. Infact, if you get the C rods to work, you may end up with more stroke to compensate the differences, and end up cutting for clearence in places you may not need to cut to make a stock rod swing in there. yeah,, Ive built a few,,, Still alive today! What piston works with a C rod? And, why only 5.25, if you are going through all that work?
