Wow, that ole Case musta ruffled some feathers out there in the community, that one is not the only one, there is one in Penna that is brand new, placed 2nd at Columbus the first time ever on the track and will get nothing but stronger. People, simmer down and get used to it, It's gonna get worse for you all. The only thing that will stop em is the rules, we will see how the pressure is brought to bear to make them illegal somehow!!!

Are you taking about Dean Kibler's 57 Case 600? He pulls sometimes at Portersville, PA. He has quite the combination. A friend of mine has a MM (G something [6-cylinder]) that was once diesel but has been converted to gas. They outlawed the MM because of the conversion from one fuel to another. I don't agree with casefan's comment about the 2-cylinder rule suggestion. I agree with Puller about the crybaby thing

Dean is out of Ohio, Hanoverton I believe. He used to have a pretty stout MH 55, but it was only around 600 CID. :-) I talked to him when he was putting the Case together and he said that the gaoline sixes were pretty rare(?) If that is true, you shouldn't see a big bunch of them tearing up the track....

I doubt that serial numbers can be documented to see how each came off the assy line. Cases don't come with build sheets as far as I know, maybe that info was available in 55-56 but you'll have trouble finding it now so be prepared for lotsa diesel to gas comversions, how's anyone gonna know?

My '51 DC has a build sheet. As far as I know, all of them do. You can still get copies from Case/IH in Racine by writing in with the s/n. The cost was $7 in 1996.

That may be, my only point was that if there were spark ignition tractors built in that model, the whole model series will be legal as spark ignition as it would be impossible to police or tell which came out of the factories as diesels or gassers or lp gassers, and a head swap and drop in a distributor and away you go

Silver King is right, these Case big blocks are almost perfect for pulling, they are strong, 7 mains, lots of room, they can go big. They are a little slow on RPM's , but they make up for it in cubic inches. I think these Cases are going to take the show for a few years, until they make newer tractors legal. The Minnie GVI is also a good choice, but it is a 59 and most places won't allow it yet.

The new rule will be: 2 cylinder engines and green paint only.
