I have a 450 gas head casting # 362174R1 and would like to know how much I can safely plane off? I don't need any more hp for farm stock class, but maybe with alittle more I might try pulling in other classes. One never has enough power. Thanks

KEEP SHAVING MORE OFF THE CASTING UNTIL YOU DESTROY THE HEAD.
POOR MAN'S H.P., AND AN EXPENSIVE MISTAKE TO MAKE.

Keep the deck no thinner than .325, when you get that thin on that head you could run into trouble. Chad

How about an LP head. I know where you can get the whole tractor with the right head & manifolds at a good price (not running).
