I Have a 400 that needs rebuilt, I don"t use it for pulling but thought this board would be the place to get the info I need.
I would like to get more HP when I rebuild, what would some of you guys recomend for this. I"m not looking to build the most powerfull engine on earth, just a stronger 400. Thanks!

What size of an overbore kit should I look for?

4 1/8" will use thinner sleeves. With a little carb work should make 60 hp pretty easy.

Any name brand rebuild kit will help you out especially an overbore kit. Definately put it on a dyno after you get it running. There is usually several hp to be found by adjusting the carb and timing.
