Over the years we've replaced the head gasket many times in a 282 diesel in an IH 560. Planed several times, set sleeves high and low, etc. A guy at an auction told my brother had the same problem tractor pulling and fixed it with a copper head gasket. Where do we get one for this engine? Thanks.

FLAT OUT GASKET is the name, ask for Pat i don`t have the # off hand but i`ll try to get it. He made two for my D_282 for $100.00 so i know he has the cad drawing for it.

A few years ago (like 10 yrs.) I ordered .062 soft copper sheet from McMaster-Carr and cut my own for my "M" puller. Worked for me.....if you got the time, drill press, sharp drills, hole saws, etc.
