Hi, I'm purchasing an 88 Oliver which I Intend on pulling. I was thinking of putting a 3 3/4 over bore kit in it and having the valves ground and shaving the head. I'm looking for a reliable puller that will be competitive since pulling isn't real profitable, it just a whole lot of fun! If any one has any suggestion or comments let me know. Not interested in big bore, high comppresion, or strokers. This is a budget build. Thank, Dave S

The most economical way to get started is to buy an 88 with the 3 3/4 overbore already there. Then just touch it up with intake, carb and cam. add an 880 head if you like. I have an 88 for sale if interested. curt3227@yahoo.com also have the intake and carb. good luck and have fun pulling

If you have to buy the pistons, then get a set of 4" and build it square. Do the head and go have fun. Now if you plan to work it all day, I would use the 3 7/8 but if it is just pulling I would use the 4".
