I can get ya 70+ out of a 281, the +HP is what else you do to the head when you have it redone. kits start at $950. All new parts, and no boring involved with 264 and 281 blocks. Ill be at ChadS3@hotmail.com ChadS

with a 281 you already have a good head and cam vs the M put of course you can always do more to them if desired, putting a toughfer spring in the governer will help the rpms also. Having the moter set at about 2400 rpms wount hurt it any eather, Iv seen stock M's and 350's run at 3000rpms and have not flew apart..... .yet.

1920 rpm's is 20% over stock rpm's of a M, thats all most div 1 - 3 allow most pulls only allow 10% over or 1760 rpm's, a 450 cam , lp intake and exhaust a little head work will wake a old M up.

ok I did not know you had them rules around here anything goes as long as it looks stock your fine but the rpm thing sounds right because I seen them checking that at Sigorney IA last year, they were only allowed 10% over also. Justin
