We usually just bore them out and recontour them so there is no edges left over. Yeah we got a bit that will take it out to a 29 or larger. Which one do you have now? If its running a bit rich, you can stand to let in some more air to help mix up the fuel a little better. But not go so big to lose the draw or vacuum to pull the fuel in. Chad

Did you get your ignition fixed up yet? A 27 is ok, keeps low end lugging power in the low rpm range, a 29 will keep the torque in the higher rpm, may last a bit longer on the track. Im getting ready to dyno tune a Super M just like yours, and Ill pass that info on to you on what it took to get the most out of it, or get you real close. Just remember, the longer a fresh engine runs, the stronger they get after time. Run it. Better keep a watch out for the weather today,, Looks like Mid to southern Indiana is gonna get some storms! i havent messed with the ignition yet,it still runs fine with the stock coil so i aint done nothin yet.im not sure how many rpms it running, probly somewhere around 2100 or 2200.with those rpms would i be better off leaving the venturi at a 27?if it would be better at a 29,what size bit do i use to drill it out and how do u drill it?

We bore them in a lathe. the 29 would be better for that rpm. JMHO, ChadS
