I have seen several posts about 413 flathead Chryslers. I am toying with idea of putting one in my Massey. Does anyone have any info/specs on these engines?

I saw a post of someone that had one for sale back in Sept, and to email them, but there was no email address?!?!?!!

Thanks.

Ford puller is on the money about these big boys i spent a lot of time looking myself. there is one in the st louis area that is running for $3500.00 The 427 continental is around the same hp/torque range and not that hard to find They were used in fox model B forage choppers for several years. Hint the 55 massy bellhousing bolts to the 427 with little mods hope this helps. Later joe

According to my book, they were only made from 1953-1956. They had a bore of 4.0625 and a stroke of 5.3125. Brake HP was 171 and max torque was 343. It is extremely difficult to find one that can be returned to service. I spent about 8 years to find mine. It may be easier to find the smaller big chrysler flatties (306, 331, or 377). It may be easier yet to find the Continental big flatties (427, 363, 330 or 290). Good luck in your search.
