How much horsepower does the belly pump take? Also how much does it weigh. I am thinking about taking it off. Thanks

Thanks, I was under the impression that the belly pump ran as long as you had the clutch out.

I dont know about horsepower but it weighs about 90 pounds, that is what my super m's weighed. I dont think it should take much horsepower, it is not turning while running, it just sits there.

Good luck.

Talked to a guy at case ih today in service. He said the belly pump takes about 10 HP to run. I find this hard to believe if you don't actually have it hooked up to an implement. I was thinking it was probably about 1 or 2 HP.

Change your service guy, right now. To make his day, take your tractor to the dyno. With the Lift-All pump engaged, do a HP test. Then redo the same test with the pump disengaged. Positive proof of the power that the pump takes. Am guessing 2-4, as you did not say what tractor it is on....QR..
