I have purchased a 450 lp head to put on my super M. what would be a good setup to run with the lp head. will flat top pistons be the route to go or will the M&W make more power. I also have a cam and intake off a 450 lp and plan on going with that. Any ideas you may have to get more hp will be greatly appreaciated. Thanks cs

There's not a whole lot of room with that LP head. I had one on an M with the 4 1/8 sealed power kit. This piston has a small step on half the piston head. Cranking psi was around 190. At that you need pretty good fuel. If you run a higher domed piston just make sure you have clearance. The cam and intake sound pretty good. You might wanna have the manifold and head port matched. Good luck!

how did you find an lp head ? big bucks, need a good cam send it to bullet cams in missisippi !!
carb will need work !!! be carefull on all that compression !!! just installed a pair of used tisco domed comfortmatic pistons with an 8777 distilate head !!! to much compression at low rpm is not good !!!! i've never bought anything from dennys carb, but i like their dome configuration alot better than the m@w. also watch the throttle shaft between carb and govenor, sometimes they break just had it happen on new overhaul. thank god i was on the tractor
