Lets say that I bored my E Gleaner block and put 4.500 pistons in it... The sleeve has been made bigger so will the stock gleaner head gasket still work... what do I need to do? Had a Friend with a U Moline With .. BIG .. dispalcement that kept blowing head gaskets he said that I could have a Copper head gasket machined to compensate for the bigger sleeves. Open to all suggestions.

Thanks,

If you use a copper gasket you need to figure the thickness of the gasket into you compression ratio figures.I use .062 but can make .043 and .032.If you keep your compression ratio conservative you can add by going thinner on you gasket.First thing you need to decide is how much power you need for how you're going to pull.If you are limited to stock tires and no cut you wont need that much bore to make enough power.Fill in all the blanks and I'll try to give some suggestions.

We make copper gaskets for bout anything,, Recently a big U moline had the same head gasket problem, the fire rings hung over the bores, put copper in, and hasnt been apart for a while now. Its either copper gaskets, or having a composite gasket made to fit your needs. Lubbock gasket in Texas makes compsite gaskets. Hope this helps, ChadS

Which is ok for a AC. IH needs to be bout the same shape as the stock gasket, otherwise the round bore actually blocks off some of the chamber. Made em both ways now. ChadS
