I'd like to put a higher performing (flowing) intake and carb on an 88 Oliver head. What is an interchangeable combo that would work---like a 1650 manifold/carb setup etc... that would be less restrictive than the stock 88. Or what other ideas have you done to your intakes/carbs, using the stock 88 head. Thanks for your help and replies.

I have a carb off of a JD combine that I would get rid of if you would need it. That's what I put on my puller and it made a difference. I beleive the throat size is 1 7/8.

Pete--

I'm interested in your combine carb. What's the throat diameter and will it bolt up to an 88 or 1650 manifold? What's the price?

There is a carb off of a JD combine (someone can help with the model) that has a bigger throat and works well. Not sure about the manifolds.
