A lot of the JD drivers use a diesel BobCat gear reduction starter. If that's what you have, the BobCat number is 410-12139. Hope this helps.

This bobcat starter motor, will this fit on a 42 John Deere A. If so are there any modifications that need to be done?
Thanks

As long as your starter is on top and not in the box under the belly--- it should bolt right on with no mods needed. Will need to wire up a start button from batt. to post on sol. Never saw it done, but it might fit in the belly box of later A's.

Your hands. And your back. And your legs. And then grunt a little. Works every time.

I didn't mean to hurt any ones feelings. When Gracie Allen would hear something confusing she would twist this saying around. You are getting the emphasis on the wrong syllable.

I meant that sarcastically. It's not nice to make fun of people.

It was Panhandler - Not jd b puller. At least I thought Panhandler was making fun of you. I sure couldn't make any other sense of what he typed.

Hey. Read my other post. I was being sarcastic to jd b puller for making fun of your typing. He must think he's really funny. Let me be the only A$$ on this one.
