Just out of curiosity how deep of pockets does it take to buy a H like yours?
That guy that you said had his on here for a while, is there anywere we could dig up the pictures or contact him? Just to make sure we are talking bout the same on it had off white colored pressed steel rears and i believe an aluminum front weight bracket. I belive the price was $2000 on that one. Does that sound like the one or are we on 2 different H's? I am just looking for a 3500lb tractor to fit on the trailer with the massey 44 or just take what i feel like running that day. Of coarse i would love a div IV tractor but they may cost more than my price range. Feel free to email me.

It takes alot of money to build a good Div. 4 H. Normally you can buy them cheaper already built. Maybe you should try to buy that Div.2 tractor. Yes I'm sure were talking about the same one, I can't find his phone number but his name is Dave Coyle and him and his father pull with the club. For this year I am dropping out of Div. 4 and running 2+, because I couldn't compete with them darn orange ones anymore. Maybe a real BIG motor to come in the old H in a year or so!!!

Whats your take on wich class i should run. My massey 44 is putting out 72hp with road worn 15.5 38 and i pulled in div 2 in 2nd gear in 5500 and 6500 last year or my choice for this year pulling 2+ in 3rd gear wich is exactly 5mph at 1500 rpm then when i crack her open to 1650 its about 5.5-6mph. Am i putting out enough power to pull 2+ in 4500 and 5500 or arent i cheating enough?

If I had your tractor I'd pull it in the 2+. Most tractors in the class are about the same horsepower. You should be fine from 4500-6500 it will just take a little time to figure what gear and how far to open it up. Like in the 4500 run 3rd and part throttle then in 5500-6500 run 2nd wide open.

It is around 80 hp don't know exactly could be a little more if freshened up. As far as classes go I'll be pulling in the 3500-4000-4500. I don't think you will be out classed.
