Turbine Dude -

In lieu of quoting you the terminal velocity of this carb, I will tell you some numbers that I have received from a trusted friend.

I am not sure of the model number, but are you talking about the Marvel Schebler like from a U or G Moline with the 1.437 stock throat? If so, I have seen numbers from a "heavily modified" version of this carburetor flow 186 CFM at 10 inches of water. Not sure what the conversion to 25 inches of water (where cylinder heads are tested) would yield for flow numbers (230 CFM?), just know that it would be significantly more.

If you have additional questions, you shouled talk to Matt at Motec Engineering. Phone number is (765) 963-5986.

How did you get 740 cfm? Every carb that I have flowed on the flowbench similiar to this carb has been in the 175 - 200 cfm range a 10 inches, just like Goldsburg said. With the information you supplied thus far I would say that you numbers sound suspect.

I use a flow bench and dyno that I got from Dennys. Maybe that is why the flow is so wrong. I also noticed that my stock IH M dynos at 127 horsepower????? ?
HA HA HA!

Maybe you should look up the meaning of "terminal velocity."
