Hey guys,

I posted a couple days ago about having cut through a tire while cutting them for my puller. It seems to be gone now..... I fixed the problem that was causing me to cut through, which was the cup cutter having some nasty burrs on the bottom of it.

Anyhow, someone posted about a product by 3M that I think was called Flexan 80. I had asked if it was similiar to urethane windshield glue, because I was thinking about using a thin coat of that stuff to cover the cords where they are showing. After letting it cure, some 80 grit on an orbital should polish it up nicely. Any input is appreciated.

Chris

Chris, I have some Flexane 80 and have used it. It works very well. 3M doesn"t make it. I"ll go to the shop later and find out the manufacturer. It"s 2 part. First part is clear and the second is the black activator. We have some v cuts that were pealing back tread like an orange and we prepped it and put flexane on it and it"s fine now. Prep is the key. It has to be CLEAN! Make sure the mixture ratio is right too because we got sloppy with the ratio and it didn"t work as well and had to grind it off and start over. Good Luck.
