Is anybody going to the WNYG&SEA rally Labor day weekend? I undersdtand that the antique pulling that takes place on Thursday Night is restricted to tractors that are 1939 or older. I have a 1942 Farmall M and have pulled this tractor at this event for the last 3 years at this event. So the rules change and I am out!! But the good news is I can pull on Saturday during the event with those annoying freckin garden tractors!! This totally sucks. I am a lifetime member and I think this is a cheap deal at best. Call Roy Metz at (585) 535-7878 and let him know that this decision to limit the age of the tractor to 1939 or older is a mistake!! Last year it was 1945 or older (60 years old).

To answer your question ,yes I am going to the rally.I am also a lifetime member .(mistake on my part)But not to pull, only to visit with old friends and scroung around the flee market.I gave up pulling there 3yrs ago.About 5-6 yrs ago "things" started changing over there .I listened to a lot of pullers ,show-goers and exhibitors cry and carry on how they would not be back next year. Most of them were back ,still crying.I used to consider that show-pull the highlight of the pulling season and supported it very generously. Now I consider it a joke. I have learned "They" are going to do what ever they want to regardless votes and verbal discontent.

I am also a lifetime member. The show has rally changed over the years. I am still going and maybe they will change their minds when they need more tractors on Thursday.

If they are bumping antique back what is the year cut off for semi antique? They always run antique, semi antique, and farmstock right?

On the Thursday night of the show it is Antique 1939 & older (pace) - nothing else.

On Saturday it Semi Antique 1959 & older (pace) plus team pulls

Thursday nights has been a tradition for me. I am disappointed to say the least.

I heard the same thing. What a load. I don't get it, how many tractors are they going to have pulling on Thurs. night? 5? I think there are only a handful of tractors on that night that are '39 or under. That's ridiculous. Thurs. night is the only "real" antique pulling event during the whole show and now they restrict it to '39 and below!! What is up with this club?? I think i'll spend less time (and money) at their show this year. Maybe other shows this summer will have something better. We will see...
And what is with these "Garden tractor pullers"? I heard that they are PAID by the club to be there, yet WE have to pay to pull at the show! Are the garden tractor pullers REQUIRED to have a current membership to the club to be able to pull, just like we are?? Food for thought...

I haven't brought my tractors there the past two years. 3 years ago I was bumped out of placing on a sat. pull by a pro-farm they let pull. if they are that greedy for a 15 dollar hook, I'll stay home. I never usually whine, but that was a little extreme. Eventually people will get fed up and pulling will go south. look at all the pulls that used to be around 10-15 years ago???
