ANYONE SEEN ONE OF THESE 2900 BLOCKS INSTALLED IN A WD/WD45 FRAME..I BELIEVE IT WILL WORK...BE A NICE OPEN CLASS TRACTOR...MARK

ther was a wd 45d in our are area running a xt190 motor. holy cripes did it go. it put the 88 ollys in the dust. but he had rearend headaches all the time.

I have been wondering the same thing, I have a WD with a 262 gas 6-cylinder installed. It was easy and cheap. Aren't the 301 and 262 based on the same block? If nothing else perhaps the adapter plate from the 230/262 6-cylinder used for the conversion could be re-drilled to fit the back of the 301. But then again I don't know if they are at all compatible.
