I am not a fan of pulling with new tires but in some cases have seen them pull as well as cut tires. Depends on the track, balance, phase of the moon, and no tellig what else. At any rate, what are your thoughs on new Firestone Super All Traction II 23 degree 15.5 - 38"s on 15" wheels in 5500 to 7500 classes? If it turns out to be too much lug and the lugs roll under is this a good tire to cut?

Thanks,

I have a set of the Firestone SAT II 23* on my DC Case and it has done very well. The tires are new and the hardest new tires I've seen. They do a great job I dont think you will be sorry. I do have mine mounted on a set of 16in. rims and this makes the tires very flat on the tred.

Thanks. Got a buddy in the tire business so I can get new ones at his cost. Considering used ones are easing up to $100 or more and there just don't seem to be any around here with shipping I am half way to brand new tires. I figured with the lug spacing there is a good bit more rubber on the ground than a field and road. Looks like they would make good cut tires in a few years of sun exposure. May have to bite the bullet and try them.

Does your buddy still have the road worn 16.9 F&Rs, and would he want to part with them?

My brother is running them on his DC Case and having very good success with them. I can"t believe how well they do. He runs them on a 16 inch rim, 5250 to 7500. I don"t think you"ll get lug rolling on these tires.
