I am going to start sinking some money into part for my JD 60. It had a 6-3 power block. I was going to put in a set of custom made 6-1/8" high comp aluminum pistons with stock stroke making 397ci. It pulls from 6500-10500. Is this going to be fairly competative or do i need to save up the big bucks and stroke it to have a winner?

your gonna sink a little money, but who in this hobby dosen't. here in attwood ks thats a pretty competitive tractor. eastern ks that's a little small but a good start.when you wont to pull second gear or more stroke's where it's at. my advice although will cost you money and more time is go big , there's some 600 plus cubic inch a's in my neck of the woods.there,s a guy near kansas city that has built some tuff running deere's,he's pulling a tuff running old g i'll try to getyou some info if you want?
