I had a head gasket leaking, pulled the head used straight edge and it is slightly warped. I can stick .005 feeler gauge under straight edge in the middle. Itwas RED but is kinda faded. Pretty good running old "47 Farmall H. Thought I might plain the head .020 or .030. I"m not trying to go hog wild. PDP

Mr. Thinker is right, dont waste your time wacking a bunch off the head. You arent going to gain a lot of power and if you ever did need to cut it back flat, you will still have material there to do so.

Nice thoughts Thinker I like that. Check your piston clearances then see how much farther you can go.

kinda hard to tell????first find out if it red (farmall) or green (john deere), second if they run leave it alone, and third if you want a puller don't waste your time and money on either one.

Whoooa now. A rose by any other name is still a rose but there is only one "Mr. Thinker" and you are not him. Most all JD people know who the original Mr. Thinker is and you aint it.
