Hey all, I have a pair of 18.4-38 Goodyear Traction Torques with 45% wavy bar tread 6ply tires. I was wondering how well they would compete at the pulls. I pull a John Deere G in 6000lbs and up. Most other pullers in my weights classes are running Firestones. Has anyone tried this type of tire...if so would you recommend it??? Thanks for any help!!!

Had a set of 14.9-38's on my 400. Great pullers at dead weight pulls. Heavy tires.

if 12.4 /38's kills your b, maybe the tires are fine and you b is junk.

Yes I pulled with those tires. Mine were 15.5X38 and they did real good. Put them on 14" rims and ran about 10 pounds in tires. I am tiring a set of 14.9s to see if I can get my JD G to lug-out of power about the same time my tires loose traction. You will have to play with tire pressure with your tractor for the tracks you pull at.
Hopes this helps and good luck with your pulls.
Terry

i had a set on my 43 jd b as far as im concerned they are junk always spun out they were 13.6 38 i went and bought a set of 12.4 38 firestones and it kills that same tractor i would have to say it probably depends mostly on the weight and the track i think they would do better in a heavy class like 5500 plus
